The Fast Food Nutrition App

Following the success of its online Fast Food Calorie Counter in January, 2011, FastFood.com is happy to announce the launch of its personal version of the application, the Fast Food Nutrition app for Android. The product was launched this week on the Android Market, and exceeded 1,000 installs in the first few days after its introduction.

With the same unique abilities as the web based version, the Fast Food Nutrition app has 250 restaurant chains, with over 50,000 menu items. It includes categories for calories, fats, trans fats, saturated fats, cholesterol, sodium, carbohydrates, sugars, protein and even Weight Watchers points, for every item. So you can evaluate your dietary intake with ease. “And it’s a calorie counter that actually lets you calculate your calories”, says company spokesman James Boyle. Item by item, meal by meal, quick and easy! “Now our users can take the information with them wherever they go”, Boyle added.

The app was featured on TheDailyAppShow, the day after its launch, and is gaining the attention of many in the social networking arena.

There are two versions of the app available. One runs ads and is completely free, the other is ad free, has 250 restaurant chains, and cost $2.99. Both are available at the Android Market. The company is almost finished with the iPhone version of the app, and will release it in the near future.
